While no solutions for improving diplomatic relations with Pakistan have come forward, India's cabinet has put forth a strong effort.

“We have made diplomatic efforts in the past and we will continue to do so going forward,” the Indian delegate said in an interview.

One of its main concerns is the refugee crisis.

“Our hope in bringing more military and police force into the region is to provide protections for the refugees,” the delegate from India said.

India plans to focus on defending the rights of innocent civilians within its borders. The representative condemned Pakistan for the human rights atrocities committed against refugees.

The Indian delegate also said that any attacks from Pakistan “will not be met with retaliation, but with defense.” Its military buildup, however, hints at the possibility of any future attacks being met with retribution. Whether this military focus will hinder the progress of improvements for refugees is unclear at the moment.

As tensions continue to rise, India hopes to handle each part of the conflict strategically. The response tactics used by India have proven ineffective so far, but approaches taken in the future could potentially impact the course of this conflict.
